Danimal Cannon and Zef – parallel processing (CD)

I bought this one out of sheer curiosity at Renaissance Montréal (again, I just love this place) for 2.00 $. It looked and felt like electronic music. All the songs were created using LSDJ on Nintendo Gameboys, therefore it`s electronically oriented, that`s for sure. Danimal Cannon (real name Daniel Behrens) is an American video game composer and chiptune music performer. Chiptune or 8-bit music is electronic music made with vintage computers, consoles and arcade machines. The music on this album (8 tracks = 46.06 minutes) mixes chiptune with glitch and electronics. Imagine music created with the Amiga, the Commodore 64, the Sega Master System or the old NES. Interesting, but not my cup of tea. I prefer hearing the original NES videogames soundtrack, for instance: Super Mario Bros 2 & 3, Kid Icarus, Robowarrior, Felix the cat, Adventure Island and Superpitfall.
