PGR / Merzbow / Asmus Tietchens – grav (CD)

Is this a mix / a remix / a deconstruction / a construction / a reconstruction of sonic material from PGR (Kim Cascone), Merbow (Masami Akita) and Asmus Tietchens (a German electronic musician)? The end result`s three pieces of non-music, or experimental noise if you will. Here`s a brief rundown
1 – The book of a thousand hands (22.06 minutes) = metal percussions + ambient noise + found sounds + drones = meditative lo-fi experimental noise manipulations.
2 – Three hemispheres (21.09 minutes) = tapes + found sounds + lo-fi ambient noise + bowed metal = a schizophrenic lo-fi noisy joyride.
3 – Hymns from the furnace (22.39 minutes) = ambient noise + minimal feedback manipulations + droning elements + more ambient noise = a bleak, nightmarish, nearly death industrial aural adventure. That is not dead which can eternal lie, and strange aeons even death may die (H.P Lovecraft).
