Mayan Apocalypse – Mayan Apocalypse (CD-R)

This is the first release from a brand new noise act (consisting of Thompson and Zachary Short `Black Beast Of Arrrghhh`himself) from Florida, USA. I love this album. It`s a mixture of noise and spoken rants. There`s five tracks, which are:
1- the vision: minimal electronics (recalls Suicide and \ or Corpusse) with some noise bursts (thrown in for good measure) colliding with Thompsn`s own spoken rant. An amazing epic piece indeed.
2- #@ you suck: bizarre noise constructions + spoken rant = an unclassifiable piece of sonic mayhem.
3- anarchy in the 727: I think that Mayan Apocalypse are not fans of the Sex Pistols (you gotta hear this to believe it).
4- the dream: we hear Thompson`s voice (with echo \ reverb included) mixed with lo-fi, toned down feedback. Experimental, almost dreamy noisescapes which slowly becomes a nightmarish reality.
5- the end: the conclusion, an out there, out of this world apocalyptic bleak nightmare. Loads of feedback confronting Thompson`s spoken rants. I need at least two Tylenols to survive this album. Magnificent. Get it here: Thompson

Hiroshima Yeah! issue 97 (march 2013) (zine)

This is a 8.5 by 11 inches black and white, cut and paste, six pages zine. It`s hard to believe that Mark Ritchie publishes HY! On a monthly basis. This zine is full of stuff. Let`s see, there`s the usual short and sweet poetry (highly recommended), 1.5 years behind bars by Gary Simmons (hilarious stuff, not recommended for the politically correct or as I like to point out the hypocritically correct), a shitload of music + concerts + art exhibition + DVD + book and zines reviews and a short story (Margie`s room). There`s an incredible Hiroshima Yeah! Logo \ drawing courtesy of the impressively and highly talented Kapreles. I have one of my drawings on the back cover (cheap pop included here).  This is the perfect read while laying on my couch and drinking a cold beer, chilling out, relaxing, taking it easy `cause nothing else matters. Damn straight. Contact here:

Neal Wilgus

The other day I got a small parcel from Neal Wilgus. Inside there was some poems, some collages, a brief bio and a letter (saying how much he liked my illustration which was published in the latest Psionic Plastic Joy zine). Neal is an amazing american poet. Contact him. This I command!!! Here's what was in said package:

Here's his brief bio:

I send him as a trade two original drawings. Those drawings where supposed to be CD covers for a new solo retard / shitnoise project of mine named 'Onion Dick'. I was not satisfied with the end results so I got rid of them. Here they are. You be the judge. Enjoy the show!!!

a couple of recommended documentaries

I enjoy watching documentaries for education purposes, knowledge and sheer curiosity. There`s always something to learn in life. The day you stop learning is the day where apathy sets in, you`re jaded, and you`re intellectually dead. Regarding documentaries, I buy them, trade them and download them. You can find lots of interesting and challenging stuff here:

I download documentaries because I watch most of them before my shift on my small 16 Go Ainol portable player (with a nice 5 inch screen). Here`s some of my recent discoveries. Let`s see, we have:

The Book that Can't Be Read
The subject of the matter is the Voynich manuscript. It is described as "the world's most mysterious manuscript", it  dates to the early 15th century (1404–1438). It is named after the book dealer Wilfrid Voynich who bought it in 1912. It is written in a mysterious, unknown language (possibly some form of encrypted  ciphertext). All efforts to translate it were vain. There`s some plants illustrations but most of the plants do not match known species. What`s it purpose? Is there a purpose? Is it an alchemical document? An esoteric, occult document? Could it be a hoax? You be the judge. I also discovered that `the book that can`t be read ` is part of `Naked Science` which is a series of documentaries from National Geographic (9 seasons with approximately 141 episodes). I `ll see if can find some more on www.youtube.com . I`m hooked.
    My overall quote: 8/10
The beer factor: to quote the intellectual savior Damien Sandow, SILENCE ! I`ve watched it sober, before my shift.
You can also read and/or download the Voynich manuscript here:
You can also watch it here:

    The devil`s bible
The Codex Gigas (and no it`s not what you`re thinking big E) is the world's largest and most mysterious medieval manuscript. It`s a huge book too it weighs 165 pounds (it`s allegedly made from the skin of 160 donkeys, so they say). There`s an incredible image of the devil, the book is filled demonic spells and satanic imagery. Legend says the text was written in a single night by a doomed monk`s pact with the Devil himself. National Geographics follows a team of scientists who are trying to unravel all the Codex Gigas hidden secrets. This is extremely interesting. I will try to find an english version of the Codex Gigas online. I have a fascination for ancient occult, esoteric literature.
    My overall quote: 8/10
The beer factor: irrelevant, I`ve seen this one before my shift, you`re welcome.                                                                       You can watch it here:                        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7oqABkyNQL0

    The revelation of the pyramids
I won`t give you a description this time around, yes it`s that mind challenging i.e good. No oerall quotes, no beer factor included, just watch it this I command!!! More information here:
