Crank Sturgeon & Hal McGee – a statistician`s intramural crush (CD)

This is a micro-cassette tape collage collaboration             Featuring two seasoned veterans of the hometaping, experimental noise scene (the almighty Crank Sturgeon and mister more than two hundred releases Hal McGee).  A bizarre album done with: field recordings, words, minimalist instrumentations, improvisational textures, stream of consciousness mind glop (huh?) and lo-fi gloriosity. This recording consists of two long tracks: entitle an echo to progress (24.53 min) and bumps and numbers, in code (28.01 min). words, sentences, lo-fi ramblings collide altogether. Lots of incoherent ramblings + what the hell & where the hell sound sources = I heard something like this before. But where? Now I remember last time I went to a dive. It was after last call, around 3.30 a.m  and all I could remember hearing is tons of drunkards ramblings, mumblings. This album is not an all around harsh noise attack. It`s more like an experimental , electroacoustic at times aural sonic assault. It`s crazy, it`s weird, it`s strange. I like it, I like it!

Gaulo Foshit + Jamegumb + Hell Garbage + Raketor – 4-way split (CD-R)

A really limited edition (30 copies) 4-way split consisting of four Florida based experimental \ noise artists. Let`s start things of with:
1- Gaulo Foshit delivers one track which is a mix of cutup noisy bursts + vocals (sounds more like an incantation) + animal samples (chickens, donkeys). This is an incredible ambient noise piece with meditative undertones. Definitely standout material indeed.
2- Jamegumb does four harsh, abrasive and highly pitched (screams included baby) noise pieces. It`s vocals with microphone sodomy.
3- Hell Garbage does a track where a guy is banging something while singing songs he invented. After every song he keeps saying `that was a good one`. Retardo noise it makes `Hearseberry Taco` sound like Stephen Hawkin. Now I need a cold beer and it will definitely be a good one indeed. All sarcasm aside, I like this `81 tilted songs`, damn straight.
4- We end this album with a track courtesy of Raketor. This is rumbling lo-fi distortions, a sonic thunderstorm, with some type of rhythmic pattern included. Chill-out noise dudes. More info here:

Securitron451 – darkmatter (mp3)

I got this as a trade item. Never heard of Securitron 451 before, so I googled it. I discover it`s a free download (and how cool is that). It reads on their website that you can tag their music under: ambient, dark ambient, electronic, experimental, industrial, space noise and noise sci-fi (what a list!). There`s seven tracks on this short album (less than 30 minutes). I wish it was longer because I really enjoy this.  The music is a mixture spacy synth, minimal atmospherics, percussive / noisy elements   with some dark psychedelic undertones thrown in for good measure. It would make an amazing soundtrack to the following movies: Forbidden Planet, 2001 A Space Odyssey and Solaris (the original Russian version).  This recording conjures deep feelings of claustrophobia. Feels like you`re alone inside a space station, and you`re slowly running out of oxygen. Help!
