Hermit – pain machine (CD-R)

This is a long forgotten collectors item. It was released in 1998 and it had a limited edition of 50 copies. Now why am I mentioning this? It`s simple I really like Eric Boros solo noise project (Hermit). It`s not your typical in your face, harsh noise, usually done with distortion pedals. It`s more like `constructed `noise a little bit like Napalmed if you will. There`s one 13.10 minutes long single track on this here CD-R. It starts off with some type of ambient noise, then slowly mutates into rhythmic metal banging with lo-fi frequencies then it morphs into noisier dirges (it sounds like it was recorded in a desolate factory \ warehouse) . That was the last Hermit recording I bough. You can find all his tapes at  www.archives.org (, ith the exception of this album. It`s a shame because I feel that is his best work. It`s a damn shame Hermit folded. I wonder where Eric Boros is today.
