Hiroshima Yeah! # 109 (March 2014) (zine)

HY!  has five pages this time around (8.5 by 11 inches black and white, cut and paste monthly affair).  I don`t want to sound redundant but this is one of my favorite lil publication out there (along the mighty Node Pajomo). We have on the cover poetry `mud, blood and oil.` Excellent short poems , courtesy of Mark Ritchie (head honcho). Here`s some personal favorites:
Men are children
We are obsessed with trivia,
Sport, music,
Sticking our cocks into things.
We relate to each other
Through jokey insults,
Mindless catchphrases
And tall tales.
It`s really no wonder
Women don`t understand us.
And:
Party
At times, I feel like
Everyone`s at a party
I wasn`t invited to
But to which I wouldn`t
Have gone anyway.
Finally:
It isn`t the sport
It isn`t the sport
That I hate,
It`s the cunts staring at it.
Simply magnificent, isn`t it? I love those short, to the point small wry poems, great stuff indeed. Gary Simmons is back with `1.5 years out on probation`. He`s out of jail but definitely not off the hook (yes, probation time BAYBEE!!!).  we`re also treated with lots of music, book and concert reviews ( The Strypes + The Cheetahs). There`s a couple of fine individuals contributing here: Simon Morris (The Irishman: the story of an… as the title implies doing various insanities, like crazy, demented noise recordings), Gary Simmons ( three poems), and François Marceau (two poems). Mark himself ends it with `Brand new nothing`. A short drinking tale of existential \ urban alienation perhaps. I mean can you dig that suckahhhh!!!  Contact address:
